I Am Wanderlust
Wanderlust: A “very strong or irresistible impulse to travel” Princeton University "wanderlust" WordNet. Princeton University. 2010.
That’s the definition of wanderlust, but you can also be a wanderlust, and I definitely am one. I’ve always had an interest in travel, even though I could have done more of it, and didn’t always take my best advantage of it. But, then again, when are we ever perfect at this?
At this point, I’m too old to be young, and too young to be old, but I feel young, and (knock on wood) am in good health. Things are settling in career-wise and personal life-wise where I am planning big things ahead… hopefully long before time becomes unkind to my body and mind.
In travel, I like the little things, looking, absorbing, especially those quirks of local history, people, or nature. The whole smelling the flowers thing.
Another part of exploring life is the whole sexual journey. Although sexual lust is not part of the term wanderlust, I’m looking to integrate the two during these upcoming journeys. Even though I could have done more of it, I didn’t always take my best advantage of it. But, then again, when are we ever perfect at this? (Do those sentences sound familiar?)
The quest for lust and sexual exploration is definitely not my only reason for travel, but I am trying to bring the lust to wanderlust.
My sexual journeys are like my travel journeys, and I have wish-lists for both. I’m always looking to explore, and my exploration is far from done!
